Friday night was the opening of Elsbeth's new show at a wonderful gallery in Boulder Creek, Trader's of the Lost Arts. Elsbeth created 4 new skull installations for the show, and displayed some of her merchandise as well (prints, cards, shirts). We had warm summer air and beautiful music surround us all evening, topped off with fresh fruit and (of course) champagne to celebrate!
The show was entitled "Vita et Mors Certa", which in Latin roughly means 'life and death are certain'. Each piece was adorned to honor all of life and death's glory, to pay tribute to the fine balance and delicate romance between these two planes of existence, and to examine how each is necessary to each other. Each piece was accompanied by a quote that helped lead spectators through each assemblage's meaning.
Thank you to everyone who came out, it was a great evening!
Elsbeth's skull installations will be up in Trader's for the rest of September, take a look if you are in the area!
Hope everyone will excuse the cell-phone pictures!
